TB-500 / Thymosin β4 Acetate
What is it?
The attachment labels TB-500 as “Thymosin B4 Acetate”. Thymosin beta-4 is a naturally occurring actin-binding peptide involved in cellular organisation. The term TB-500 is not sufficient on its own to establish whether a supplier material is full-length thymosin beta-4 or a related fragment.
How it is studied
Actin-binding biology connects to cell migration and tissue responses. Research on thymosin beta-4 includes ocular-surface and wound models. Sequence length and formulation determine whether that literature is relevant to a particular material.
What the evidence shows
A randomised phase 2 trial studied a defined thymosin beta-4 ophthalmic solution in dry eye. It examined corneal-staining and symptom endpoints. This was a particular eye-drop formulation; it was not a trial of supplier-labelled injectable TB-500 or athletic injury recovery.
Limitations & safety context
The evidence cannot be transferred across fragments, routes or formulations without justification. The attachment does not supply sequence or identity testing for its acetate material. Statements that TB-500 heals injuries in people would go beyond the evidence cited here.
