Growth-factor signalling
CJC-1295 DAC
What is it?
CJC-1295 with DAC is a modified growth hormone-releasing hormone analogue with a drug affinity complex designed for prolonged exposure. The DAC feature is central to its behaviour and distinguishes it from products labelled “no DAC”.
How it is studied
The long-acting design involves association with albumin, extending exposure compared with shorter GHRH fragments. It stimulates the GHRH receptor pathway and can influence growth hormone and IGF-1. Its persistence is therefore part of both the research rationale and the safety question.
What the evidence shows
A 2006 study in healthy adults reported prolonged increases in growth hormone and IGF-1 after administration of the studied CJC-1295 formulation. A related study examined persistence of pulsatile growth-hormone secretion. These findings establish endocrine activity under study conditions, not a proven physique or anti-ageing outcome.
Limitations & safety context
Changes in the GH/IGF-1 axis can be relevant to glucose control, fluid retention and tissue-growth signalling. The evidence for DAC-containing CJC-1295 must not be applied as if it studied every “CJC no DAC” preparation. Sequence, modification and formulation require verification.
